Who am I?

I’m Ava; I write and direct absurd, heartfelt dramas about humanity’s quirks. (I make films, weird ones)

At 14, I made Beth, short film, and somehow won the IMDb New Filmmaker Award 2021. Since then, I’ve made seven shorts, including the multi-award-winning Dying to Meet You, screened at BAFTA- and Oscar-qualifying festivals worldwide.

On stage, my play Brainstorm ran at the Leeds Playhouse, and two of my plays hit the finals of the National Theatre’s New Views in 2023 and 2024.

I'm currently working on my debut feature with the support of Channel 4 Skills.
